Rambler Radio is ‘On The Air!’

With the recent retirement of Cason McLain, God has given us an opportunity to do new things for His glory. Suppertime Gospel, heard for several years on central Florida radio every Thursday evening, has morphed into Rambler Radio. We are excited about being able to do more to support the ministries of the talented musicians who give so much of themselves to further the Kingdom of God. Rambler Radio broadcasts three hours of southern-leaning gospel music on these stations: WKTO 88.9 Edgewater, FL 6-9pm WEJF Continue reading →

Midnight Cry at 1st Baptist of Titusville

Elizabeth and I made the drive from Deltona to Titusville yesterday morning to hear Midnight Cry in concert and to join in the worship service at First Baptist Church in downtown Titusville. It was a wonderful experience. Outside, it was a glorious Florida day, overflowing with blue sky and sunshine. Inside, we were greeted by several members of the congregation, who appeared genuinely happy to see us (even though they had probably never heard of the Rambler). First Baptist is a beautiful, old style Baptist Continue reading →

Mark V Quartet

The Mark V Quartet brought their wonderful brand of gospel music to this morning’s service at First Nazarene here in New Smyrna Beach. If you have not had an opportunity to experience the Mark V Quartet in concert, I highly recommend it. In fact, they will appear this evening at 7:00 at Faith Church in Port Orange (see the calendar for address and map link). Mark V is composed of Max Pickering from The Pickerings, Vernon Gibbs from The Gibbs Family, Randy Bailey, and Rudy Continue reading →

Lifeline Quartet

The Lifeline Quartet blessed everyone present at First Nazarene in New Smyrna Beach last night. Every time we have heard them in concert, they have been wonderful, but last night they were exceptional. It was their third performance of the day, and they had been up and going since 2:30 AM, but they put that aside and, rising to the occasion, lifted their voices in praise and testimony. Blending old favorites like “Hold On!”, “Who Am I?”, and “I Believe He’s Coming Back”, with original Continue reading →

Suppertime Gospel

Rambler Radio thanks Cason McClain over at WKTO (88.9 FM) in New Smyrna for having us on SupperTime Gospel this evening. What a great time we had! Cason shares our love for Gospel music and we learned this evening that he’s a long time Gospel Music promoter. We all had a lot to talk about and when we weren’t talking about the local groups we love, we were talking strategy while the songs played. Folks, we’ve just got to get the word out. There are Continue reading →

New Features

We’re learning more and more as we go, which is as it should be. I have to say that the community of folks who contribute to Word Press make it pretty easy. Not dead easy, but easy enough that a computer semi-literate such as me can muddle through to a tolerably decent result. Over the weekend, we added an audio player to the site, and today we’ve added a Featured Group Video to the sidebar. Should the medical doctor however mentioned that you can not Continue reading →

Welcome to the Rambler

Welcome to a work in progress. The Rambler is a gift of love from us to you. I’m Dave and my wife is Elizabeth. We’re relatively new in Florida and it took us quite a while before we accidentally made a connection with the vibrant southern gospel scene here in our state. The problem we ran into is probably not uncommon. Unless you go to a church that has gospel events, know someone that does, or have friends that sing, it’s not easy to find Continue reading →
